Satisfaction with WeedFighter Pro

WeedFighter Pro has become a valuable asset for Horsens Municipality in combating weeds. WeedFighter Pro significantly reduces fuel and water consumption. Horsens Municipality has found the investment in this machine to be highly effective.

We can see that it works much more efficiently than other methods, even when operating at higher speeds, says Henrik Jeppesen, Head of Service and Emergency Services in Horsens Municipality.
Horsens Municipality has invested in a WeedFighter Pro machine and used it throughout the summer and autumn.

Given the rapidly rising energy prices and the desire for greater sustainability in the fight against weeds on sidewalks and bike paths, WeedFighter Pro was chosen. It was made available for sale in early summer after several years of development work. The method involves combining steam, ion-rich liquid, and microwaves to boil the weed cells down to their growth point.

It’s simply more efficient and, at the same time, conserves resources, confirms Jens Skifter, CEO of WeedFighter.

Easy to operate with high capacity

Pilot Morten Holst Pedersen from Horsens Municipality has been operating WeedFighter on a utility carrier from the end of July to the end of October. He also praises the new solution.

After instruction and some adjustments during the trial period, it is easy to operate. But equally interesting is that I cover an area that is two or three times larger than what I could achieve with our previous solution, he explains.
This means he uses both less fuel and significantly less water for weed control.

And I can quickly see that the weeds have been thoroughly treated, he notes.

Fewer Treatments Annually

Just like all other municipalities, Horsens Municipality must combat weeds in a sustainable manner.

That is our main focus. We must meet the wishes of the citizens and thus our politicians for weed control without spraying. Furthermore, it must be sustainable in terms of resources such as water, fuel, and time. Of course, it is also important that we can do this with WeedFighter more cost-effectively and efficiently than before, emphasizes Henrik Jeppesen.
Experience shows that the new solution from the local company WeedFighter also requires fewer treatments per year.

Where we used to have to make 8-10 passes, we can now get by with half the number of passes, says Morten Holst Pedersen.

A Unique and Sustainable Solution

The unique aspect of the WeedFighter method and machine is the use of steam, ion-rich liquid, and microwaves. No one else has had this idea and developed it into practical use.

We are in the process of presenting and selling the machine in collaboration with the manufacturer Yding Smedie & Maskiner for use in the 2023 season, says Jens Skifter.

– I use only half the amount of water and much less fuel, so I can cover a larger area in a day with less

resource consumption, affirms Morten Holst Pedersen, pilot at WeedFighter.
